DeAnne's Story
Life
I already wrote something here, but missed the Update button, so it didn't save. That's the story of my life!
Well, I only left Sarasota long enough to get an education. I few years after returning I met Ken and we married in '95. We have two boys that keep us(me) very busy! I am a Cub Scout leader, treasurer & popcorn chairperson(let me know if you need any!)Four legged companions include a rescued Lab named Magnolia and 2 rescued cats, Seneca and Dixie.
School
High school was awesome-I would love to go back, but it would have to be in a time machine-I wouldn't want to go back now in the year 2007.
College
I attended MCC and then Florida Southern College in Lakeland. I received a BS(which does stand for BS)in Elementary and Special Education. Some of my favorite memories include drinking Boone Hill win...Expand for more
e with donuts to stay awake to cram for exams. Other good memories are hanging out with the Lamda Chi's(Friends are Friends Forever and Magic Carpet Ride)and going country with a group of people from the Citrus Department!
Workplace
Upon graduation I started teaching. I have taught Special Ed. for all but 1 of my almost 15 years. Last year I taught regular 1st grade at Tatum Ridge Elementary. I loved it, but it was difficult on my eldest-he stayed at Gulf Gate where he had already been attending. I ran into several SHS alumni at Tatum-If you're reading this "hello-miss you all". I am currently teaching children with Physical Challenges at GulfGate-stop by and see me some time!
Military
No military service for me, but I did marry a military man-I always did like a guy in uniform-why do you think I joined the band!
