Dean's Story
I retired from DTE Energy (Detroit Edison) after 37+ years, in 2013. I worked the last 18 at Fermi 2. I worked as an electrician for over 20 years. I then became a maintenance supervisor and special Projects Lead for 5 years. I then became an Electrical Maintenance Planner until my November 2013 retirement. My wife LuAnn and I have moved to Port St Lucie, Florida.
I got divorced after 24 years in 1999. I got remarried in 2001. I have 3 children (a son, 2 daughters) from my first marriage and inherited 2 step sons from my present one. Between them all, I have 4 grandsons & 5 granddaughters.
After years of spending money I didn't have, I finally realized I should start thinking about saving for the future. LuAnn & I attended 'Financial Peace University' and I reluctantly cut up all our credit cards. I'm proud to say we are 'debt free' .

d cds. I listen to music to relax.
I love all sports but especially baseball. I have a ton of baseball cards and collect autographed baseballs. I'm slowly living my dream of attending every major league stadium.
I’ve settled into retirement and have picked up bicycling and a BOSU ball to keep in a good physical condition.
Last but not least, I am proud to say that I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, my savior. I don’t know what my life would look like right now without him, but I’m sure it would be a mess! I am very active in our church, Grace Emmanuel, down here in Florida. God led us here & has put us to work! I’m amazed at the blessings he’s poured out on us. We thank him & give him the glory for all the good in our lives!
"I can't complain but sometimes I still do, life's been good to me, so far."
