Dean's Story
I was born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1969 the youngest of two sons. My father was a shipbuilder, and my mother worked in accounting. I grew up in Cranston and later North Kingstown. I graduated High School class of 1987 North Kingstown. Then I received my degree in computer Science in 1990 and relocated to San Diego working for the department of defense doing systems analysis and design. In 1995 I moved to Savannah Georgia and attended the Savannah College of art and Design. Graduating with a degrees in Sequential Art, Illustration and Graphic Design. book industry for a while then I moved to San Francisco and found work with a small company called PDI. I left PDI to travel the country and find myself. (PDI is now part of Dreamworks and was responsible for Shrek, Shark Tale and Madagascar.) During this time I experienced the religion and philosophy of Buddhism in California and Native American culture in the deserts of Arizona and New Mexico. In 2000, I returned to Rhode Island for family reasons, where I worked in toys, jewelry and motorcycles. Now I'm working on doing my own thing as an abstract expressionist and publisher.
