Dean's Story
After over 23 years, I retired in December of 2006 from Freightliner, the leading manufacturer of large trucks and a subsidary of Daimler AG. As Sales Training Manager, I was responsible for the training of all sales related personnel in our dealerships worldwide. I now exercise regularly, play golf, travel worldwide as well as domestically, have completed law enforcement training (local PD, Sheriff and FBI), and am generally enjoying life (even more). We've cruised the Mediterranian, S. America, Alaska, Scandinavia (Balkans) and just returned from a trip to Costa Rica. My wife still works part-time in an orthopedic and fracture clinic, but plans to retire eventually.
My oldest son, Todd, is a free-lance cartoonist who was storyboard artist for "The PJs," (a Ron Howard and Eddy Murphy WB Network TV program), did a graphic novel for the movie, "The Fog," and recently completed a well-received graphic novel called "Cut" for Dark Horse Comics. My second son, Derek is a self-employed investor, and my youngest son, Reid is in management for a well known regional tire retailer. Our grandson,Tyler (see picture) is the center of our world (of course). Life and health are good!
