THIS JUST IN ...
THE MOTH -- the international storytelling organization -- announced EMISSARIES: Stories and Reflections, as a Staff Pick. That's my recent book of 60 true, short stories of my life (including some from my boyhood in Oshkosh), now available in print, ebook, and audiobook (narrated by the author).
OTHER THAN THAT ...
After graduating college in 1971 from The Johns Hopkins University, off to Washington DC to stop the war, working with various peace groups and US Senators and publishing two books called VIOLENCE: The Crisis of American Confidence and ARMED AND ALONE: The American Security Dilemma.
Then, to New York City to pursue a doctorate in clinical psy...Expand for more
chology at the New York University-Bellevue Medical Center and Fordham University and practice, with a focus on children and adolescents. Then, off the world and on to the earth to teach, practice, speak, and write in the New Mexico desert -- under the big sky, looking to the long horizon.
All along the way devoted to causes — children, peace, social justice, human rights — serving as consultant to national and international organizations and on various non-profit boards, including now serving as Trustee of The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights.
After all these years, still flying solo (never met the right guy). And, so it goes.
