Dean's Story

Life No matter where you go, there you are. Full-time geek and self-professed workaholic who's getting more crotchety as times moves on. I can either be found behind a keyboard or a bass guitar, and sometimes both when I'm in the recording studio. Due to the fact that my life and work are intermingled, all the juicy tidbits are in the "workplace" bio.... I still do what I can for local and regional politics. I'll continue doing so until The Constitution is safe from the religious facists. Somewhere in between work and ...uhm....work, I continue to study Physics, Astronomy, Economics, Philsophy, and of course Politics. My reading material consists of The Nation, Foreign Affairs Quarterly, Dissent, Mix, Tape Op, the Journal Nature, and hosts of other progressive and yes, LIBERAL rags. (I'll avoid ranting here...) When I'm not absorbing as much knowledge as I possibly can, I always find time for my close friends, a good argument, Jameson, and some Irish ballads sung as loud as one can sing. And there's always room for a female lead singer.... To catch me on the fly, see my myspace or you can find me on Facebook! Workplace I've been playing music from age 14, only to stop for a short period in order to appease a former spouse *cough*. I can still be found playing bass every weekend for any number of local bands including The Willys. I might be playing rock, blues, funk, punk, soul, country, metal, jazz, bluegrass, or even folk. It still amazes me what can be done with four strings and eleven notes.... I'm still a techno-geek and alawys will be; as a full-time job and on the side for various organizations. Yes, I'm also still doing audio in all capacities. I have been freelancing as a FOH (Front Of House) Engineer and recording engineer. For a short period I had a very nice recording studio but have since settled for smal...Expand for more
