Dean's Story
Lived in Somerton, PA during school years. After art school, worked in animation studio in Phila. where I met my wife. Married Barbara Werner in 1969. Lived in Newport RI while in the US Navy '68-'72. Daughter Rebecca born 1973. Lived back in Phila. after release from Navy, worked in NYC at animation studio. Moved to Port Chester, NY 1976. Disney, advertising, Muppets, children's books and magazines. Developed cartoon character Mandy based on character first used in Playboy cartoon. Now I do books and commissions for galleries and individual collectors, Gallery shows in Paris. Still at it! Barbara and I have been married 51 years as of this year (2020). Daughter Becky (interior designer) married Nick (works in movie production) and moved to California; we moved to Los Angeles area in 2005 when our first granddaughter Lily was born out here. Second granddaughter, Juliette, born 2012.
