Deana Rolfe:

Deana's Story

We moved to Trenton years ago. I was really young when we moved there on Third Street. A couple of my best friends were Heidi Scherze and Beth Williams. Unfortunately throuhg the years I haven't been able to keep in touch with them or any of my other friends that I had then. I'd love to be able to find them again someday. They both helped keep me out of a lot of trouble when we were younger. I went to to Strohm, probably spelt it worng lol, Elementary together and then Monguagon Middle School. We probably would have gone to the other middle/high school but they tore it down before most of us could get there to use it. But we did use the swimming pool there and what ever else we could use before it was torn down. Just about the year that I would have started Trenton High School I moved out of the state to Florida to live with my dad. I lived with my dad and his wife for a few months and then ended up moving to live with my sister and her now ex-husband Randy Hassell. We moved around some becuase of him being militiary. Not to long after we moved to Connecticut I ended up meeting my now ex-husband Michael J. Rolfe. We had three (3) beautiful children together. Two (2) of them are girls and one (1) is a boy. My oldest one is Clorissa Rose Rolfe and is 20 years old, then Ann-Marie Rolfe which just turned 16 and then there's Michael Anthony Rolfe which just turned 14. I've never re-married and very seldom date. LOL, I think I've dated one person since I've been divorced for the past 12 years. Anyhow, I ended up getting my GED in the middle of my divorce and have had some college. I've got about 4 classes to finish before I can graduate. It would be great to be able to connect with some of my old friends from the Trenton area after all these years. I would hope that some of the people that I hung around with remembered me as at least a little fun and some one that tried to keep them out of trouble. As far as what the wildest thing I ever did in school was I'm not quites sure how to answer that. My answer right now would probably sound really lame to say the least, lol. I always wanted to be a secetuary when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a lame idea. As it turns out, they were probably right. I haven't exeactly learned how to completely learned how to do that just yet. Other wise I like to walk, go to the movies, or find other ways to blow off the steam. One of my favorite ways to relax is to take my kids to the movies, go camping, listen to the radio, and/or find other things to do. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have pleanty of water, a bottle of tylonal, and some way to relieve the stress of the day to be able to deal with the day-to-day. I'd have to say taht my hero would have to be my father and my kids. And my inspiration would have to come from the same two places. I'd say my dad because of the struggles and battles that I seen him go through and win. And my kids...Expand for more
because of the fact that I'd almost hate to be a kids in this day and age because of all of the preasures. They have all taught me a lot about life in general when it comes to a lot of things. I've lived in a lot of different places since I've left Michigan and moved myself and my kids back here. Florida, at least twice, Illinoise, Connecticut, Virginia, at least 2-3 times, most of them were becasuse of the militiary life. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Beth Williams Heidi Scherze, because they were two of my best friends and I have really missed them not being in my life in the past 23 years. LOL, when it comes to sports stuff, pets and obsessions I don't really have very many. I've always loved to watch my kids play their sports and we've had a few animials come in and out our doors. Cats, dogs, fish, birds, hamsters, etc. The hamsters didn't last long because my one daughter is alergic to them. The same day we found out about the hamster alergies is the same day we came home to find that they had all died. I'm not quite sure what I would say my biggest surprise in life has ben. There have been a few. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel probably the wole thing and add on a couple of bathrooms. My dream home would be a fairly decent sized one if nothing else but not to huge. :) If nothing else my kids have tought me to expect just about anything and everything out of them and life. They've given me some of lifes most embarressing and frustrating moments. But they have also given me some of the best and proudest moments in and out of life. There was one teacher there in Strome Elementary, before they tore it down, that had the biggest influence on me in life. His name was Mr. Drennen, not sure I've spelt it right. He had/was such a big influence on my because of the fact that he always played it straight with me and never beat around the bush. He always made me do my best when it came to my class work and home work. If he seen that I was having a major problem he would make sure that I received the help I needed with what ever it was that I was doing. He never gave up on me no matter what happened and was always there for me if I ever needed someone to talk to. If anything else he had the one class that I did my best and the best in when it came to my school education. Unfortunately, the year that I had him for a teacher was his last year as a teacher because he retired. I can smile about the fact that my father, mother, sister and myself all had him as a teacher. I remember just balling the day that we all had to say good bye to him. If I won $100 million, I'd give $1,000.00 of it to Diabetes research and/or Child abuse shelter, then spend the rest on my kids, fixing my credit and paying my bills off. I never did live in a dorm or join the Greek system but I have talked about camput life. It can be fun and exciting but can also be busy, crazy, and scarry!
