Deanna's Story
Life
At 46 years old, I never thought the military would send me to Pristina, Kosovo. Although, I am lucky I am stationed here and not at other locations more dangerous, I feel that I've reached a pivitol point in my life where the military is teaching me so much about how lucky my life has been. I've seen how people survived war and poverty and work for pitance wages and still have a smile on their faces...Expand for more
and thank you for helping them. I am so lucky to have lived in Flandreau, South Dakota and I wish I were home instead of here.
School
I graduated from Flandreau High School in 1976. Attended Granite Falls Technical College 1976-1978. Joined the Minnesota Army National Guard in 1988. Received my AA degree from North Hennepin Community College in 1998 and my BA from Metropolitan University in 2000.
