Deanna's Story
I haven't been on Classmates for 6 years. Well I'm still kicking and screaming. My 4th great-grandchild was born last week. I have 8 grands. We just got a new Prius III. It practically drives itself. I was thinking how many changes we've all been through. With all the technology things should be easier but somehow life seems much more complicated. I had 4 kids that didn't use car seats or seat belts and they just rolled around in the back seat. We had no perma pressed stuff and no disposable diapers. and no garbage disposals or dishwashers. My gosh, I'm sounding like a pioneer -- worse yet -- like my mother. Anybody out there still remember me. I was pretty awkward, not very popular, definitely not a leader -- I just kind of fit in the crowd. I wasn't the smartest. BUT, I did love GHS I'm looking forward to a 60t...Expand for more
h reunion. Too bad that they tore the old school down.
I just met up with many classmates at our recent 50th reunion. What a wonderful class of people you all are. I lived in the Philadelphia area for 40 years, married with four children. We moved to California in 1980 when my husband took a position of Vice President with World Vision, a relief and development organization. We were happy working with them until his death in 1991. Since then, I remarried and now have 8 grandchildren. One of my greatest joys is to participate in short-term mission trips about 3-4x a year. I have had the opportunity to visit more than 30 countries. God has blessed me with good health and a wonderful family. I'm looking forward to our 55th reunion. It was fabulous meeting up with so many old friends. Please continue to keep in touch
