Deanna's Story
I graduated from Northern Illinois University and I taught school for 3 years. But, I was always drawn to the kitchen and I became an avid foodie (Hey - what are the odds? The fat girl becomes a foodie?! Oh...wait...I guess they're pretty good, so.....never mind). I became a certified executive chef and have worked for a frozen food manufacturer headquartered in Buffalo, NY for the last 24 years. I've loved every minute of my job as a chef. nce, Germany, Japan, Korea, Italy, Austria and Switzerland. It's a great job - I love it - that's why I haven't retired!.
I invented a little device used in cake decorating, and with the help of my employer I was able to apply for a patent. I'm proud that I have a patent in my name!
I enjoy organic gardening and, of course, cooking. My husband of 31 years and I are anticipating a move soon to a warmer location, one with a longer growing season!
