Deanna's Story
Well, after high school I got an A.A. from Highline CC in commercial art,worked a few odd jobs and married(divorced 3 years later)
Met David and married 4 years later and we've been together for almost 11 years here in the Seattle area. We've traveled several places(Carribean cruise,Hawaiian islands, and to nearby states)We had a son, Caleb Dane on May 4th '08 so we are new parents right now.
For almost 13 years now I have been working at Walgreens.11 years in Kent and the rest of the time in Des Moines.I am the Senior Technician in the Pharmacy and have a state and national license.
For the past 6 years we have both been part of the Bellydancing Community here in Washington(some in Portland too)He plays the middle eastern hand drums and is part of my dance teacher Saqra's band,The Mediterranean Raqs Band.They have 3 cd's now.I take ...Expand for more
lessons and dance at local events(Mediterreanean Fantasy Festival in west Seattle,Kent Cornucopia Days and at the Moonraker(Ad Lib) Bar and Grill in Kent(1st Sat of each month)Good exercise and fun!
We are involved in Church(Calvary Baptist Renton) activities and events as well.He plays the bass guitar in the praise band and I teach/taught Sunday School.I have lead Vacation Bible School a few times too.
I love to cook,travel,watch reality tv, and now spend alot of time with our new son.I've been working on a book called,"Patients, who aren't".Educating people on what a pharmacy is and isn't,on what doctors, insurance companies and YOUR responsibilities really are in the overall care for yourself and family.It'll have do's and don't's and funny stories I've collected over the years in the pharmacy.
