Deanna's Story
Updated January 22, 2009 ~~~
These days I spend most of my time at home with my youngest daughter and our pets. My days of competition are limited, if not over and I've graduated to the "coaching" position rather than the competitor.
Alex, now 16, (my youngest daughter-on the right in the photo) is quite an impressive athlete from track and soccer to equestrian sports. She won last years gymkhana event in Vail, AZ despite a fractured ankle that she got when her horse (all 1200 pounds) lost its footing and landed on her in July. She will finally have surgery in February to remove a piece of her ankle bone that refuses to heal. Can't imagine why it wouldn't heal??!!

daughter, Amber, now 21, (to the left in the photo) has her Associates degree and is working part time. She had her first child in July and I'm proud to say that I'm a Grandma. Kids are soooooooooo much more fun when you can give them back to their parents!!!!!!!!! My granddaughter, Olive, is such a cutie. She's just over 6 months old and already crawling everywhere and starting to pull herself up on anything close by. Just when I thought my kid days were over...
I still go dancing, just not as a competitor anymore. I do some teaching at the High School and other places nearby. I'm still full of life...just at a slower pace than before. I'm enjoying my kids and now Olive too.
