Deb's Story
Well, after bumping into a fellow Shilo brat at a meeting in Wainwright last month, I was finally convinced to join this site. I don't have a Facebook account and this will do! We left Shilo in 1979, two years before grad of '80. Got a great picture of all of you in my backyard from when we were posted. Missed graduating with my friends in Shilo for sure! Did three years in the east, then we were posted to Wainwright. Never heard of the place; was interesting. Some of the streets weren't paved yet! Thought I would give it a year. ere for 35. Cannot believe where the time went. Spent one year in Germany with my brothers who were posted there. Good times! Got married, had three great children, and recently became a grandmother. Love it! I was a school secretary for a long time, worked as a clerk for the RCMP, worked in a hospital, and finally have settled on being an assistant administrator for a senior's lodge that is 2 blocks from my home. Love it! I saw some people at the PEHS reunion before it was taken down. (2002 maybe?) It was fantastic! Great to keep in touch!
