Deb's Story
In "the good old days" I was shy and worked for Doc Challenger. Seems like only yesterday. I have gained five pounds since high school, and not one of my friends today can picture me as shy, but I must admit that life has been good to me.
While married 43 years, I moved frequently, living in Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, New Jersey, California, and Texas, enjoying careers in advertising/marketing and managing call centers and IT help desks. Through DePelchin we adopted two older special needs children with severe Reactive Attachment Disorder, so I quickly learned to love challenges. d loving, but I must admit that my daughters made the Secret Service a bit nervous.
Celebrated Mom and Dad's 70th wedding anniversary with family and friends less than five months before Dad died. They truly enjoyed a storybook marriage filled with a lifetime of love, happiness, and incredible memories. I am so blessed to have had them as my parents and close friends.
My fascination is tiny houses. Three years ago I downsized from 4,000 sq. ft. to 2,000 sq. ft., and then to 1,350 square feet. I received a proposal at Yosemite National Park that I just couldn’t refuse, so back to a house that’s far too large. Oh well, I can always convert a school bus into a Skoolie to enjoy with our pets when we’re both retired.
