Debra's Story
Eventually, I entered the medical field and became a Certified Nurse's Aid. After working in Long Term Care facilities, I looked into private duty, which led me into many decades as a Hospice caraegiver.
My husband and I bought 100 acres in the wilds of West Virginia, and self taught ourselves about horses. Soon, we had a breeding and showing program in place.
Although I no longer live in WV, and am single again, my home is on 100 acres here in Arkansas. Guess all along I was a country girl living in the city. The past couple of years have been filled with research on self-sustaining farming and living. I hope that this summer I will be able to begin implementing that plan.
Country music is one of my favorites, but...Expand for more
also enjoy listening to the Oldies. Two of my favorite movies are: "For Richer, For Poorer", and "Because of Winn-Dixie".
I also hold a Commercial Driver's License, and have been a school bus driver, and can drive those 'big rigs'. Nowadays, however, I am retired, but not slowing down at all.
Frequently, my thoughts drift toward Wilson and the friends that I had made. Often, I wonder where their paths led them. Although I left Wilson before Senior year and graduated from Vallejo High in January of '71, my high school identity stays with Wilson. My attendance at Vallejo was just long enough for my Wilson transcripts to follow me, and for paperwork to be done allowing for an early graduation.
Goooo Bruins! lol
