Debbie's Story
Hi! Thanks to all who have signed my guestbook. Unfortunately, because I am not a paying member, I don't know who you are.
Be sure to write "Bladensburg" in the subject area as I tend to erase things without looking at them when I don't recognize a familiar name right away.
It certainly has been a long time since I updated this. All is well. We're still in Colorado in the same house on two acres we've been for over 35 years. The farm land that had been around us all has houses on it now.
My sons both moved from Cambridge, Massachusetts to the San Francisco area, working for the same company as software engineers. Now Zach is moving back to Colorado to be close to his daughter, now in her first year at CU Boulder. He enjoys traveling to places where he can scuba dive and had taken some flying lessons. My other son, Matt, enjoys many things, but has decided...Expand for more
to stop making his own beer (Zach and Mike still make their own). My other granddaughter, Anna, is fifteen. Hubby Mike has retired from National Renewable Energy Lab. His newest hobby is to increase his skills at guitar playing. I've stopped counting how many guitars he has. I'm retired, still enjoy travel (hopefully when this darn covid crap lightens up more) and doing my crafts. I am mostly doing wet, dry and nuno felting now, but am going to try some mosaic tile. I still enjoy gardening and reading.
My dad used to say, "It takes guts to get old," which is true. However, without having to worry about work and raising kids, it's a much more relaxed time to pursue passions of your own.
