Debbie's Story

Life Hi, I have been married to David Galloway for the last 32 yr. He went home to be with Jesus Nov. 1st. of this past year. We were very happy , we have 3 sons, Adam, Stacy, and Zane. 3 daughter-in -laws and 3 grandchildren, 1 from a previous marriage whom we love as our own. I had actually quit school after we were married to go to work but went back and got my GED later. I have worked at Fannin Co. High School for the last 11 yrs. in the cafeteria. I like my job very much, but have been unable to be there for about a year because of David's sickness and a few health problems of my own. I expect to be able to return in about 8 months . We have been very blessed to have a great many youngins not our own in and out of our home and lives. Hence my email name ....mamadebbie. lol We go to Church at Helping Hand Fellowship and love it there. The Spirit is free and there is much love for the Lord which goes along with our beliefs. I believe the Word, the doctrine of Jesus that He put forth while on this earth. The sin of mankind that needed a sacrifice, a pure , holy one. So the Holy Ghost overshadowed Mary, a virgin, and she conceived and bare a child..Jesus. He grew , lived a perfect life, healed and taught, went through agony, died on the cross, was buried and rose again the 3rd day, now He sits on the right hand of the Father and is my intercessor. And He is coming back one day to take me home . He lives in my heart and I thank Him and praise Him for all my blessings every day. I sing occasionally in our Church and I am trying to learn to play a violin. I am thankful they let me sing as there are so many others who sing so much better..lol. But I love Christian music, both to hear it and to sing it . I like most all kinds, old ones and conte...Expand for more
mporary. Zane and his wife live in the house with me and will for a while untill I have a knee replacement in the next few weeks. I guess this is it for now, maybe later I will do an update. Hope all are well. April 28th, 2006 Lots of changes since last I wrote. I had my knee replacement Feb. of last year, it went great. I have a few months left before it will be full capacity. I was unable to return to work at school, but was offered a job at Mcfarlands Supply where David had worked. I really like it there, they are very good to me . I was very lonely but figured I'd never have anyone else in my life as I still have David's brother Herbert to care for . So I decided to not date anyone as I don't believe in just going out to be going. And I had told God that if I was to be alone I knew He would be more than enough for me . A couple of weeks went by after making that decision and a friend whom I'd know most of my life , who called me anyway every couple of weeks, called me one Sat. night and poured his heart out to me that he loved me , not as a friend , but as a man loves a woman . I had loved him many years but not like that . But I felt a door close in my mind and another open as he continued to talk. The next day at Church I had 3 confirmations that this was from God and another in the car on the radio, so... I walked through that door that next night. Suddenly there were feelings there for him that were not friend feelings. We dated for 2 weeks , about 4 times, and got married on April 1st here at my place. It is wonderful, proof that when God does something He does it right. I can hardly believe it myself but I am so incredibly happy! His name is Mark Davenport, so I am now Debbie Davenport. I guess this is all for now , God bless all.
