Debbie's Story
Still a Hippie!!! I'm Vegan, very much still a Grassroots Activist and Advocate for Constitutional, Civil, Humane, Human, and Animal Rights. I am very active with over a hundred organizations such as the ACLU, Free Press, PETA, Heifer International, just to name a few. These groups are always doing "everything politically and humanely" possible; from something as simple as sponsoring children in India and other countries and regions, as well as purchasing animals for poverty stricken areas around the world; to getting legislation on the table, passed, reversed, knocked down, stomped on, etc, and always hopefully, for the betterment of all.
Roughly, there over three million of us working around the clock, worldwide; with a great portion of this work now being done over the internet as opposed to having to take mainly to the streets as we have in the past. One plus in our so-called "progress" oriented lives that actually has and is doing a lot of good for a change.
Hopefully, through efforts such as these that down the road and soon, it may be the saving grace of a nation in serious decline on so many levels, including the reversal of Global Warming. I have also turned to using Biodiesel awhile back in my car which I love(and I'm pretty sure the planet does too). .....hee
As you can probably tell by now, I have a fierce love of people and animals and nature! I'm also a very visual and tactile person, doing and loving art and fabrics as well as design. Went back to school to further pursue Architecture and Interior Design... What great fun!

eep plugging away at what I do, for this very reason. I would like to see future generations being able to still have this old planet around and it and they be healthy. I also love to hang with my friends when I can. Often, we catch movies together and I get really excited when I hear the word DOCUMENTARY! ....heart be still!
I read alot!!! (not a big fan of tv), 99% non-fiction. Politics mainly, and no mainstream media (gasp), nutrition, and the odd whatever thrown in for a little variety. hee hee... like Albert Einstein (he rocked)
I have always been extremely passionate about music too! Love most but put-off by raunchy rap and/or hip hop, and can't tolerate much operatic. After awhile, my eyes start crossing and I fall over the balcony....
I am extremely curious about pretty much everything in life. I still love to travel alot, Wailkiki especially (ah, such warm water swimming with the Honu), but also throughout Europe. I would like to explore India, Africa and Asia one day before I expire. heh.... I better get going!
I love a great sense of humor and I'm quite sure it has saved me time and time again over the years when life has seemed to be at its bleakest hour. And if you've read this entire page (gotta be a miracle), you're most likely somebody like-minded and, hench, a person of interest in my realm. I've only caught up with one other alumni from this graduating class from Madison High School '67-'70, albeit I did graduate a semester early. Is that all that's left of our class? Where'd everybody go??? "....come back 'ere, I won't bite you!" ~gotta love Monty Python.
~Catch you later. PEACE!
