Debbie's Story

My bio was WAY too long. I had a great time at the 45th reunion, esp when I had to do my Dr thing looking like a stripper! Thinking we'd be in Muncie about 5 yrs, we've been there since 1977. Tom worked for Burroughs then drove to Indy for 8.5 yrs before working at the BSU Foundation as Controller then Treasurer & now Chief Investment Officer. I got a home ec degree then God spoke to me and commanded me to become a Dr but not begin my pre-med studies until after having my "last child" so after my 3rd baby was 6 mos old, I began that. I started med school at 33 when our kids were 4, 6 & 9 and finished FP residency at 40. I initially worked in an urgent care center then opened my own practice. I developed severe fibromyalgia but complications from my need for pain meds which were approved by my conversations with 3 DEA agents ended up caused me to have to stop practicing due to an unethical social worker who used that against me and accused me of being a drug addict by having people in addictions centers give false testimony against me to the board, something she'd been doing to many Drs for 10 years before I ever entered her path. She's still doing this by fooling the board members who change frequently. So I began...Expand for more
traveling with Tom as he met with financial people across the country and learned about finance. Our kids began having babies like bunnies & I helped with 7 grandkids in 5.5 years. Cuddling them helped decrease my fibro & reduce my stress. After 18 years I was miraculously healed of it. I'm a very committed Christian & find God leading me to read articles that give me knowledge on how to treat patients even now online as I did in practice the night before seeing someone with something I'd not seen before. I feel blessed to have such a gift. Despite not being in practice, I continue attending medical meetings several times a year. I'm also interested in Ancient Aliens & attended their conference the 1st time in June 2019. It actually strengthened my faith & helped explain various areas of scripture I'd not understood before. I now read them with greater clarity. I encourage those interested to read "Chariots of the Gods" & references scriptures. I'm very interested in speaking with any groups about the various aspects of my life that show how God has literally brought me to where I've been needed at the right moments. There's no other explanation for what some would call coincidence. I live by faith & love my life.

Do my ornery eyes tell you I know how much you adore me or just how much I love YOU? Happy Father's Day, Grandpa Tom!
Aletheia earned the ability to attend a VERY adult, fancy function by knowing how to behave properly at just under age 4. The "yady" next to her was so impressed, she asked if she could hold her on her lap. Later, I asked A
Aletheia models the cape fashioned from her Grammie Blanket, now embellished with "Frozen" appliques in the hallway of the Palmer House Hotel in Chicago May 2015. She forgot her sweater but NEVER travels without her Grammie
Last summer Gordon was out playing on the swingset Tom & kids built in 1995 with Aletheia & Joshua. Gordon had taken time to clean & sandpaper the entire apparatus until he felt it was saver for the kids to use without spli
All 3 (including Naomi 2) went to the store with me to get a cake for Mommy Angela's birthday. They got to choose which one. We'd made it to church & got cake afterward. Mommy & Daddy had a weekend together.
Tom is totally NUTS this year!! The trees are so FULL, they just fall to the ground already shelled, hitting the curly slide & tents on the swingset. It sounds like we are under attack or at least a major rainstorm, ESPECIA
When Memorial Day & the 500 came, Eli came too. Aletheia, Eli, & Joshua had a great group slide.
The bonding of the cousins while watching something on TV last spring. Joshua, Aletheia, Quentin 5 with flamingo he'd made 2 yrs before at a time share activity, Eli almost 7.
This is my favorite picture of the parents at Christmas. At the top is Kyle (emulating the famous Einstein picture, as I've always said) at age 2.5; Gordon at 5.5 gently holds Katie, who is almost 9 mos. Note the tiny tear
Gordon holds his clone Calvin on his shoulders. While he'd hoped to have him ever 2 months for 2 wks, it ended up with mama backing out on the arrangements. It's so sad as Gordon is such a natural dad. I've NEVER seen any m
Quentin surprised Joshua & Aletheia with a short visit on the way to our house. Later, they joined us, too, for a great cousin time.
My 6.5 year old grandson spontaneously drew this. Wasn't drawing from a picture. Just drew it. (Now one person I showed it to said his tummy wasn't round enough, but there's "one" in every crowd, shall we say.) Personally,
There's just something about drool on a toddler's chin accompanying their sweet smiles that makes a picture even better.

Katie's kids. Joshua 6.5, Seraiah 2, & Aletheia 4.5. All very active, love to color, coming to our house. A called Tom "that guy" for awhile which was so cute. She came on a trip to Chicago with us when we stayed at the Pal
But when Aletheia & Joshua come, there is no greater plaything than "Uncle Gordon"! I'm surprised that swing is STILL in the wood, and after 21 years. He's done maintenance work on it twice, so he does have investment in it
Since we drove over this bridge east of St Louis, I've seen it in several movies & other shows in general.

This little guy is truly unique. Born to daughter Katie, 4th child (the family now being boy, girl, girl, boy), 6' 15.2", and BORN on his due date of Feb 29, 2016--a LEAP DAY BABY--NOT via induction & delivered via midwife,
Obviously this picture goes with what I wrote. I have not idea why it wasn't displayed at the same time because that's how I wrote it. Another brilliance for facebook. And now I get even LESS sleep--during the night Grandpa
You may be able to be a Princess once or even TWICE (1971 & 1974), but....
