Debbie's Story
Hello!
Time certainly does fly by! I've been living in Chicago for 34 years, working and enjoying my hobbies. I still work in theatre on occasion and have been a stage manager on many productions. I'm still playing the guitar and participate in music jams, playing bluegrass and old-time music. I am also the Editor of "Wreck & Rescue," which is the quarterly journal of the U.S. Life-Saving Service Heritage Association. Annual Meeting last year in Mackinaw City. I have given slide shows at a number of museums about the Life-Saving Service and have had numerous articles published, including several on the Coast Guard website.
Most of my family has relocated to Florida and my brother Paul lives in Texas. Kathie still lives in Indiana, with the rest of my siblings and my father living in the Tampa area. My mother passed away in 2011 and my dad passed on June 10, 2014. I've had some serious health issues myself, including a heart attack in 2013. I'm still kicking though!
