Debbie's Story
I had a pretty typical high school experience. But I'd say the highlight of my high school years was the music program under the direction of Venita Holmes. My love of music, singing in a top-40 band, music major at Lamar University (didn't finish...I'm an accountant), singing in weddings, church pageants, etc. were all inspired by those years in high school.
I've had several bumps getting to this point in my life. I married young and became a 70's statistic, a single mom. But I am blessed to be married to a wonderful man, Jeff Helton. He married me and my 2 boys and I married him and his 2 girls. All 6 of us lived as the modern Brady Bunch.
Our oldest son, Bobby, is minister of youth and education at First Baptist Church in Booneville, AR and has been married since 2001 to his lovely Mary.

darling little Lila who will be a year old in September '09. She has a master's in accounting and works in the bond department of a law firm.
Joey is still at home and is a waiter at Gringo's and in training as shift leader and then head waiter. He has a beautiful 3 year old, Kiley.
Ashley is our youngest. She is an LVN and just moved up to stay with her sister, got a job and is looking for a place of her own in Dallas.
My parents sold their home in Shadycrest and moved out to Lakes of Country Place. They are great, traveling a lot, going out with the church friends. Dad plays a lot of golf.
We are a 2 business family. Jeff owns and operates South Air Helicopters at Clover Field, a Bell Helicopter service center. He also flies for Channel 13 as a backup pilot.
I took over Dad's CPA practice in 2000 and my office is at the corner of Pine Hollow Drive and 518.
