Debbie's Story
Life
I dropped out of high school in 1979 to get married. We divorced in 1987. I have two sons. I got my GED in 1990, my AA degree in 1992, and went on to get my BA in social sciences/criminal justice in 1997. I then moved to Ellensburg, Wa where I earned my MA in English/Film from Central Washington University. I stayed there and taught English, Film, Communications from 1999 to 2005. Both my sons are graduates of Central; my oldest in Information Technologies and he is now a network manager for a health age...Expand for more
ncy. My youngest got his degree in Law and Justice and is a paralegal at a law firm in Olympia, Wa.
Now that the boys are on there own I decided to get my PhD. I am currently a student and instructor at Oklahoma State University, Screen Studies program through the Department of English. I've been here since 2005. I am also an author and have published articles, book reviews, and contributed to a number of encyclopedia collections.
