Deb's Story

Life Tiffany is going to be NINE years old in October and Danny is going to be SEVEN in September. Both children are exceptionally bright; Danny started reading chapter books at FOUR years of age and Tiffany started reading at about TWO or THREE years of age and really took off in Kindergarten. She is reading at over 280 WORDS PER MINUTE!!! She is heading for 4th Grade and has tested out at highschool level reading and comprehension. Tiffany is also her "class president" (I can't believe they're doing that in grade school) and has had the opportunity to do a great deal of volunteering around the school. Tiffany is starting to soar in her math skills and is slowly learning not to take everything so seriously... (My sincerest apologies, fellow classmates... HARD WAY... AFTER highschool, of course... I think my existance would have been FAR more pleasant had I not been so flippin serious and self-conscious all the time... I'm MUCH more pleasant to be around these days... haha) Danny is doing exceptionally well with everything he is working on. The teacher is having trouble keeping his interest and keeping him challenged. He is a math whiz... he's working on complex math problems and is at about 5th grade level with it. (He's going into 1st grade) Actually, both children are a challenge for the teachers as far as what they can teach them that they don't already know, or haven't already discovered on their own. Both kids love watching Paleoworld, Animal Planet, and are just virtual sponges when it comes to knowledge and learning. I couldn't be more proud. ;) so, that's about it for now...
