Debbie's Story
After high school I went to college at Central Michigan University for five years for Communication Disorders. I never used my degree, life interfered. I moved to New Orleans for about 6 months, then came back to Lapeer and have been here ever since.
I worked for the cable company in Lapeer as an office manager for about 8 years until I was laid off.
After taking a few more college courses at Mott, where I met my husband, I got a job with Champion Bus in Imlay City. I have been there for about 15 years in various capacities from Accounting, Dispatching, Parts & Service Admi...Expand for more

I have been married twice. The first marriage for 7 years and my current marriage to my husband Lee for 15 years. My husband was employed with the Flint Journal as a Copy Editor in the Sports Department until the recent round of lay offs.
I have 2 children, Josh who is 24 and Shannon who is 13. Josh graduated from Ferris State last year with a degree in Criminal Science and is still looking for a job in his field. My daughter will be starting 7th grade this fall.
Both of my children are creative and very artistic. Go figure!
