After high school I went to Utah State, majored in chemistry (yeah, WHAT was I thinking!?), met someone and therefore got out of USU with a quick Associates Degree in 1993, married in September 1993 (again, WHAT was I thinking?!). I was married for almost 12 years, divorcing in 2005 under mutual agreement between my ex and I. I have two children, a 7-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl. After my divorce, I decided to do something I always wanted and started a law enforcement career. I went through Corrections Academy and worked as a Corrections Officer at the Tooele County Jail January 2006-August 2006, then was hired on with the Utah Highway Patrol as a Trooper in September 2006 and went through POST. I was employed as a Trooper from September 2006-September 2007, and it was a blast. Police cars rock! The single-parent status became difficult with my work schedule, though, so I decided to postpone my law enforcement career for a few more years until my children are a little older. Someday I hope to go back to UHP. I am currently working at the U of U as an administrator and am thinking of going back to school to get my Bachelor's. I have been in a relationship for over a year with an AWESOME guy who is a firefighter, and I hope I never wake up from...Expand for more
