Debbie's Story
Hi all! Here it is finally," my story". I'm living here in sunny South Florida for about 10 years now. I never thought I'd move out of NY but when my husband's company decided to move their corporate offices from midtown Manhattan to here we decided to make the move. So, here I am! It's not bad but it's not NY! I have 2 great kids (well they're really not kids anymore), but thats the way I choose to see it. This is what I call mother's perogative. Anyway, my oldest is a graduate of the University of Miami and she has been an elementary school teacher for nearly 4 years and loves it ! My youngest is a boy and is attending his 2nd year at the University of Florida in Gainesville where he is majoring in accounting and minoring in math. He is following in his Dad's footsteps. Needless to say, we are proud parents like every parent in the world should be of their own. At this point, I'm suffering a bit from empty nest syndrome, but with time, I'll get over this. Also, with all this time on my hands, I have every reason to believe that I will finally figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Pretty ironic! One thing I know for sure is I'm looking foward to our 30th reunion in October and I'm hoping to see you all there then! 8/30/08

Been a long time...attended our 40th Reunion in August. So much fun was had! We toured the high school, hung out at the local bar and had the reunion at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Well if that doesn’t bring you back in time, nothing will! It was fun seeing everyone and catching up. We had such a great turn out. Thanks to Fran B., Laura B. and Ted I. They worked so hard on it all and did such a great job!
As for my regular life...I became a Grandma in September. My daughter and son in law adopted a beautiful newborn baby. He’s truly one of the joys of my life! Nothing like being Grandma. My daughter was married in 2013. In case you noticed...I may have skipped something. My son in law is a great husband and now father...that’s all I could ask for for my daughter. My son is going to be 30 next month (my baby...lol) he is an accountant and lives in Fort Lauderdale with his wonderful girlfriend. Another joy in our lives! Hubby and I are thinking of selling this big old empty house and moving to a smaller home closer to the ocean. A dream of mine and his. So we will see...stay tuned! Also if you’re not on Facebook...come and join us...there’s many of from BHS Class of 78 on there. We have a great time keeping in touch,
