Debbie's Story
Life
A week after graduation from KV, I moved to Georgia. I attended the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!) 9-85-6-89,and I graduated with a BS in Early Childhood Education. I married Phil Bodney in June 1988. I dated Phil when we were in high school, but he went to Andrean. Phil was in the Army when we married, and when I finished at UGA, I got a teaching job in Hinesville, GA-2nd grade-near Fort Stewart-then we got orders for Germany-we stayed in Germany for a couple years-then came back to the states. While in Germany, I worked for the Federal Government in various jobs involving children-but did not teach. Phil got orders for Fort Devens-near Boston-I got a job with the Department of Family and Children Services in Georgia-and waited for his Army time to end. to the University of Georgia and got his degree in Environmental Health-now we live in Dahlonega, GA-an hour north of Atlanta-in the mountains-I still work for the state-and Phil works for a local company, Blue Mountain Builders-we have three kids-Drew, born 12-31-1996, and our twins, Dylan and Danielle, born 7-17-2002-so life is full and crazy. It has been weird to see so many names I recognize on this web-site, and I hope to hear from a bunch of you. I am still amazed at the impact your childhood relationships have on who we are as adults-I can still picture all of you as if it was yesterday. I hope you are happy. I would really like to hear from people I did scouts with and people I bowled with as that took up so much of my time. But so many of you are special to me-so let me hear from you.
