Debbie's Story
Hi everyone!
I recently realized it has been 35 years since we graduated ¿ hard to imagine! It has been a long time since I have been in contact with anyone from MP ¿ I have even lost touch with my BFF Debbie Fusco Weigert ¿ and I am hoping a reunion is being planned for this year so that we can reconnect. It has been more than 6 years since I visited Providence and I have heard that there have been many exciting changes to my hometown.
I moved to Florida in 1982 and as the years have gone by my trips home have been fewer and farther between. I have lived in the Tampa Bay area for most of that time, with a two-year detour to Kentucky in 2000-2002 to attend grad school. tudent and obtain a Masters Degree.)
After grad school it was back to the real world. I returned to Tampa and was re-hired by the law firm where I previously worked as a legal assistant for a position as a marketing manager. It is the best of both worlds -- I combine my prior legal experience with the research and writing skills I developed in school in my role assisting with firmwide marketing and client development initiatives.
In addition to the new career, another major change in my life was meeting my soul mate and marrying him in 2004. We share a love of the water and live on a canal with our boat docked at our ¿back door¿ and spend as much time on the water as possible. We also love to travel and our vacations include at least two Caribbean cruises each year. Hopefully this year we will also be planning to a trip to Rhode Island for a class reunion!
