Debbie's Story
Hi everyone,
I am currently living in Austin and working for Austin ISD at the district level. I am a Secondary Language Arts Curriculum Specialist for the district and love my job. It is never boring and I am constantly on the move. I came to Austin after living in San Antonio and Killeen for awhile because both of my sons live here. Both are grown (34 and 31) and living successful lives. I have been divorced for 11 years (can't claim the longest married prize anymore) and find life is good. I stay busy with photography, reading, watching...Expand for more
sports and being outdoors as often as possible. Before I started teaching English at the high school level and coaching tennis for many years, I had a variety of jobs, the worst was administrative assistant at a nursing home; but that's another story. I loved teaching but became bored with the classroom and I am now at the district level working with both high and middle schools in Austin. Love the city with all the cultural events available. Life is never boring here, I recommend moving to Austin and no, the traffic doesn't bother me, yet!
