Debbie's Story
Progressive, thoughtful, vibrant, and at times very animated when expressing myself re injustice, politics, art, culture, and the environment.Am in a solid relationship with a local man 2 years my junior. Have little patience for small talk. Have few friends - because I move so much -- just moved back to MA 3 years ago. Have not watched television in 25 years --- acquire information over the web or reading a newspaper - which isn't often because I'm busy working.
Love baroque music, especially viol de gamba. Love cooking -- am a great cook and once worked as a personal chef. Love animals and all organizations that help them. Love wild places. Love mountains, ocean beaches, and pastoral areas. Dislike team sports. Dislike opinioned people. Dislike bad food. Dislike bars and people who drink alot.

r in art history. Took grad courses at the U Wisc, and later, GWU. Got a graduate certificate in fundraising at GW. It has served me well.
Worked f-t most of my life, except for a short hiaitus living/traveling/camping through Africa by overland truck, and later, through Nepal and the Himalayas. Both were transformative experiences. I'd never do them that way again.
Most important job: General Manager of a regional ballet company for 6 years. I did everything -- speaking, grant writing, making payroll, supervising 3 staff, working non stop for 6 years until I quit from exhaustion.
Most dangerous job: working as a PR writer and grants writer for a Native American tribe in northern Wisconsin for nearly 2 years.
Most rewarding job: conducting research on slavery in souther Maryland for the Kunta Kinte Alex Haley Foundation.
Current job: grant writer for Norman Rockwell Museum.
