Debbie's Story
My uncle and my dad co-coached the "Frosh" Football. My Dad was coach Lund from Heights.
I spent most of my time at PHS in the Art Studio, the Choir Room, and the Drama Room. I was a Pony Tone, a Debonaire, and a Thespian.
After graduation, I began to study Acting and ended up going professional before my degree was earned.
I have now spent 35 years in the Performing Arts and have toured most of the US and Central Europe.
The last 8 years, I have been living in New England from Boston to Southern NH. I have semi-retired from the stage and I direct in local companies.
I have had the pleasure of working in the film industry as a casting director (Mall Cop, The Proposal (also actor), and many industrial and commercial projects in Portland, OR and Boston, MA) I was a guest star on the CBS TV Drama "Under Suspicion" and evidently I have a long running (10 yrs now) commercial for "Jay's Wide Shoes" in Portland, OR. I have never seen it, myself, but I did get the check!
I tended to spend my lunch time at PHS with a group of Drama Geek Misfits whom I still love and adore. Mr...Expand for more
. R. (Vice Principal) spent a lot of time with us too.
My constant companions were Sherrie Caldwell, Mike Hein, Debbie Gathwright, Angelica Schmidt, Teresa Karrand Anita Collison (Her brother was 1980 class Prez, I believe).
A lot of my graduating classmates went to school with me since Pre-school. Sandy Bebee, Annette Burns, Andy Hand, Matt Hannon, David Dragowsky (next door neighbor), David Helberg, David Garneau, et al.
I've been married, divorced (er go the move to NE), FWB, and now enjoy a single life with NO CATS. I enjoy the theatre community in New England and often miss the same back home. This year, a production of Oliver! that I drected was nominated for "Best Musical Production" at the New Hampshire Theatre Awards. Didn't win, but hey, only one can win.
Emily Lesch (Jerry Lesch's Daughter- He was the Drama teacher at PHS back in the day) moved to a town 15 miles from me and we hang out. It's nice to have someone from Parkrose out here, where everything we know is 3000 miles away.
By now, this should ring a bell or simply put......you do not remember me.
