Debby's Story
Well yesterday September 1st, I turned 67. You wonder what’s in a number? I don’t feel 67 - but then again what does 67 feel like?
If I didn’t look into a mirror to see my reflection - then I’d still be that young hippie girl back in he seventies, but reflections change. Sooo I’m now only 3 years from seventy.
I am sooo happy to be in great health and in great shape, but how long will this last?
Only time and the way I spend that time will be the answer.
One thing for sure I plan to keep enjoying every second of my life - I’m not going to give up my tequila (a probiotic) and I’m not gonna give up my late nights!
Geez can you think of a better way to live? I love my life! I love my family. I love my friends! I love men! I love people.
Hope anyone who reads this can get the concept of what I’m saying. You gotta remember this one thing - you’re only old as you feel, and damn I feel sooo young!!!
Today March 28th, 2019”
I now have a part time job with Hall County Fire Services (it was time to get busy again & out & about)! I love my job - delivering mail a...Expand for more
nd supplies to Fire Stations (the view is sooo good for the eyes) and I have sooo much fun! It’s only part time so doesn’t interfere with my retirement! It doesn’t feel like I even have a job - so fringe benefits! And since I worked for the county for 10 years previously-I get to see everyone & visit! Life is sooo good!😊
Married to Michael McNabb for 40 years. 3 kids- 2 boys 1 girl. 2 grand children. Oldest son in Iraq with his Dad (Michael). Both are doing great! I work for Hall County Government. Hope to retire to a place where it is always warm and near the ocean.
Michael died on July 26th of this year 2015 after fighting 4 years cancer caused from Agent Orange exposure while serving in Vietnam. It was an extremely hard 4 years but he fought cancer with all his ability - it just wasn't meant to be a victory. He will always be missed by family & friends.
Retired-May 1st, 2015 just 3 months before Michael died.
Finding my niche & getting my grounding. Working on the farm and staying busy. Planning to start up painting again-so much yet to accomplish.
