Deborah's Story
Life and Family
Divorced, living with the ex for now. Duh. (hey to everything there IS a reason...). I am a Registered Nurse and Certified Forensic Nurse (CSI kinda thing, but with more authority and more stress), Ihave 3 daughters, Jennifer, age 33, mom of my grandsons, 6 yr old Chase, and Mason, 4. Nicole, daughter of my ex, Steve Hayashida if anyone remembers him (or cares)...but the bum won't talk to her. His loss, she is a successful 28 year old singer/songwriter as well but works as a private hospital Administrator--no kids yet. Last but not least, Alexandra, my baby--23, a computer tech, master web builder and graphic artist. Is she working with those skills? NO. She is in the Health Care Field, as is Jennifer. My kids alright :) She had my third grandchild, A LITTLE GIRL in June, 2006!! Gads makes me old eh, HEY makes us all getting there lol! Ha...*wink* YA THINK? LOL....I have traveled all over the world and the USA, and had many adventures. I find the US to be the most beautiful of all lands. History comes to life when you visit your own land. Believe me. I have yet more to cover before I leave this world.
Workplace/Education
I have over 11 years of formal college and 2 degrees. I am a school junkie.
Right out of Santa Fe, I went to Rio Hondo and got my Psychiatric Technician training, but hated it. I went back and got my LVN, which I had been up until 1996 when I went back to school for my degree in Nursing and am now a Critical Care Registered Nurse, ADN. I just finished my Certified Forensic Nurse and am looking for a job as deputy coroner. I changed jobs in the sense tha...Expand for more
t I was an agency nurse and had the opportunity to explore many hospitals and work in different fields--being able to find the areas I liked and cultvated new skills for future use. Now I am just enjoying being able to do new things, and to grow with my profession. Being an RN is very rewarding, but also, very serious and demands dedication, constanteducation and prozac ~lol. Dumped the coroner's and went into Home Health, I love it, much more rewarding teaching home care and with more independence. I am also writing two books, slow going but I will get them done sooner or later.
My Grandkids
I ADORE my 3 munches. They are the light of my life, and no space on this site could fill just how I feel about these 3 curious, prematurely astute and silly kids. Never a dull moment with any of them! Love was finally truly discovered when I was blessed with these babies. I watched them being born. Of all my experiences, this was stunning to me. Beautiful and terrifying. Pure love. Untainted and unconditional. Amazing. It blows my mind that they are part of ME. Who woulda thunk?
My Dog:
Woodrow, aka Woody, my now 8 year old Pug, is my best pal. My BFF. Since I have my own room, he shares it with me. Unlike most pugs, he does NOT snore, best bedmate ever. I refuse to let the ex sleep here. Ugh. ROOMMATE. ROOMMATE. ROOMMATE.
My Mistakes
Not waiting to choose the right man to marry. So I tried a few and recycled them. Marriage is overrated right now to me, unless I finally find HIM. So far, no takers, but then, I'm not looking right now. Better yet...let him find ME. Hmmmm, anyone interested? LOL...
