Life
Hi there - I am now in my 14 year of teaching 1st grade (2004-05) in Pittsburg, Ca. I am married to Phil who I met when I was student teaching at his school. We live in Clayton and have 2 boys - 9 and 7. We both have the same vacation schedule so we get to do lots of fun things during the summer...no money, but lots of time!
School
I was definitely inspired by both Mr. Bone and Mr. Mussallum. I am greatful to have had such a great experience at Kennedy. I really enjoyed HS and would not change much of anything. I have great memories of floats built in our garage, powder puff football games, basketball, ...Expand for more
Leatherby's, softball games, friends, the Vista Cruizer, Duck Crossing signs (that hang in our backyard right now! Shh!), student council, friends, study nights and just the feeling of being at Kennedy. Sappy but true! I loved my time there!
Workplace
I teach in Pittsburg, CA and am currently job sharing my 1st grade class room. They are cute most of the time...but education has changed a great deal and there is not so much fun and free time anymore. I enjoy what I do but would love to stay home with Grant and Scott full time for a few years. Oh well, have to pay the bills so it's definitely off to work I go.
