2016 Update. After high school I moved steadily West until stopped by the Pacific. I studied art but ended up with a business degree from Cal Poly. Still single, still loving it, still like to look - though the pickings are pretty slim. No children, no regrets. My siblings have reproduced sufficiently to ensure our gene pool doesn't die out. And now there are plenty of grand nieces and nephews. More each year it seems. Okay, okay. I admit it. My "children" have blue eyes, 4 paws and a tail. I am not, however, a crazy cat lady. I'm pretty sure I need to have at least 3 cats before I qualify. I finally retired from Stanford University September 2022. In my last position, I was a finance manager in the medical school helping faculty manage their grants and contracts. In my spare time I make jewelry, read, go to museums, spend time with friends, and travel a bit-- but not nearly enough. Stanford has a great continuing studies program and I take a couple of classes each year. One of them- which was on the history of Pompeii - helped me to realize a goal: my second visit to Italy to see Pompeii and Rome.
