Deborah's Story

2014: I currently live in Philadelphia, Pa. Schools attended include Seaford High School, and Delaware State College. I am employed by the 1st Judicial District Court, and I am a home-based, business owner; working the Pa., NJ, De. marketplaces. Life is better, and more exciting than ever! I am constantly grateful for the knowledge that keeps coming, and coming. Life is good. My mantra: Never give up; keep going, be grateful. Memories of growing up in Seaford are lifetime memories because they helped to shape and mold this person that I am; and once again--I am very grateful :-) One of the most important things I've learned, in life, is to take ownership of who I am....and make any necessary changes along the way! Lol, seriously, right? I've come to realize that life really is about being happy, giving back, and being grateful, all the time, irregardless. End of story. Life is simple; I used to complicate mine. Two very good friends, still (ex-husbands), and I managed to rear 5 conscious young folk, "Yes!" in Philadelphia. The last 3 years have yielded major changes in my thoughts, and thought processes. This is my time; to explore, take MODERATE risks, Deborah. ;-) and enjoy the fresh 'emptiness of my nest'. 2015: Retirement! Who knew? Being an Accountant, you'd think I'd plan such a move. One thing I've learned-just thi...Expand for more
s last three years actually-is: Once you begin doing things the OPPOSITE of what you have always done, there is substantial (ow!) growth. I am extremely excited, for the next 90 days; in both my personal and entrepreneurial relationships! June: I've discovered 'tiny homes'! I don't need a lot of space, or stuff anymore; this from someone who's lived in a 2300 sq. ft. 'work in progress' for last 27 years. Next? I am going to liquidate all my belongings. I'll let you know how I make out, in September. I am soooooooo excited, and eager. Have wonderful summer. Peace. December: What happened to the last six months?! I will not believe: "Time is flying" because then it will. So instead, I will acknowledge that I have 'slowed down' more than I thought; and yes, sometimes we slow down, to speed up. I do things at my own pace, but it appears that I am doing MORE things. Weird, yes; but true. I will also admit that whatever I do now, is what I want to do. I've 'discovered' eBay, not for buying, but for selling. It's a marvelous learning experience, for sure! And, I am enjoying the 'lessons'. My dear Classmates, if you've 'given up' on your dreams, desires (THEY don't retire), then recapture them, anyway you can, and pick up where you left off, when you were 20. 'If not now, when?' Ok! Back to liquidating.....talk soon; be happy. Peace.
