Deborah's Story
Surprise! - I was in the Army for nearly 4 years (91-95). I think this was the biggest surprise EVER!
I am proud to be Aunt to 4 awesome kids (12yrs, 10yrs, 6yrs & 2yrs). I am surprised every time I see them how much they grow physically & mentally. Their innate wisdom just blows me away!
I enjoy photography, computers and a nice bike ride. Only a couple things outweigh those - a really good book, playing with my cats. I really enjoy meeting and working with service dog candidates, too. I have successfully raised 4 dogs for Summit Assistance Dogs. Two have entered active service and another is in advanced training.
I hope to be remembered - I was so shy when I was in school I am not sure how many people will remember me. And I was so tame during HS I never even skipped a class, let alone a whole day of school.

Mrs Kennedy & Mrs Hales. They are so different - yet such genuine people who gave me a lot of insight to possibilities that helped me grow through the years.
Mr Mackenzie - from Middle School (waaaaay back) - he was my art teacher 6th or 7th grade. He had a wicked sense of humor and demonstrated ability so well nearly everyone came to enjoy his stories about the challenges he encountered throughout life. He is a little person (dwarfism, I believe).
College provided me with some interesting teachers. Some of my most memorable: Julian Winston (pedal steel guitarist, homeopathic specialist, industrial designer, dyslexic), Mr McGregor (polio survivor, color theory, manipulation of 2-dimensional space), Charles Searles (artist, 1st rastafarian), Peter Wood (industrial designer, special needs education, severe dyslexic, model making skills, humor and adaptability), and all my grad school professors & instructors had something for me to learn!
