Deborah's Story
It is now 49 years since graduation. I have two grandsons, Ty (who is 22) and Ashton (who is 14) and two granddaughters, Lexi (who is 13) and Abbagail (who is 12). I also have a great-granddaughter, Gwen Rose Turner, who was born to Ty Turner and Shelby Barber in February 2020.
I am currently the Office Manager/Bookkeeper for Dairymen Specialty Co., Inc. in Harrisonburg and haven't really given a lot of thought to retirement. I enjoy what I do and...Expand for more
, as long as I am able, can see myself continuing to come to work every day.
I've reached the point in my life where material possessions are no longer a great concern -- although creature comforts are nice. However, just to have peace of mind at the end of the day and not have to do anything but breathe makes me enjoy life more. I'm working on my "bucket list" of places to visit and spending as much time as possible with children and grandchildren.
