Deborah's Story
Life
Never married; no children; working since last year of high school; transferred with job and relocated to CA in '74 and came back to NE in '84. Career pretty much dominated my life until the past few years. Job required lot of business travel. Finally decided to buy a house and am now living in Deerfield, NH. I have 2 cats; a mother and kitten (a woman in my office building put up a flier - advertising 4 kittens; I wanted 2, but she only had 1 left and offered me the mother as well. Seems she had a house full and couldn't care for them anymore). I also decided to get a dog; well that turned in to 2 dogs (1 (Buddy/Black Lab mix)was destined for a kill shelter...Expand for more
in Kentucky and the other (Peter Blonde/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix) abandoned after Katrina, from Gulf Port, Mississippi) so, I rescued the them from Puppy Angels in NH. I highly recommend anyone looking for a pet to consider rescuing one - you will never regret it. I plan to retire Feb 2, 2010 and remain in NE. My mom moved to FL in 2003 due to the bad winters here, but visits during the summer. One of my brothers (Bob) was killed when he was struck by a car on Rte 128 in 2004 (a horrific accident). My sister Denise and my brother Rich remain close and keep in touch. Went to the 25th reunion and had a blast. Wonder why no one seems to be interested in another.
