Deborah's Story
Life
My husband and I live on Odd Road in Poquoson, not far from where I grew up. We have been married since June of 1971. We have 4 sons (Chris, Paul, Gus, and Bob) and 5 grandchildren (Beth, Charlotte, Marcel, Connor and Parker). My huband loves to golf and is pretty good at it.
I love to garden, sew and travel. We are currently going to Cancun in May of 2015. We also both enjoy gambling and have been to Vegas several times. In March of 2016, we went to the Dominican Republic and made many new memories. . We continued to travel in 2017, going
to Texas to see my sister, to Las Vega and to New Orleans and Biloxi, Mississippi. 2018 is almost here, and we continue to travel....Expand for more
In Jan it is back to Biloxi, Mississippi, and in March, we are taking our granddaughters (who are active In drama at Hampton Roads Academy) to New York to see a play and to sightsee.
It is almost our 50th year out of PHS . Hoping to have a class reunion in June of 2018.
Workplace
I retired from teaching English at Poquoson High School in 2009 after 36 years. and then continued teaching classes at Thomas Nelson Community College. But, in May of 2014, I retired from there also. I am enjoying life and esp. enjoying our grandchildren.
Sad news. On Sept. 26, 2017, my mother passed away. She suffered from Alzheimers and in the past fews months, she just didn't know me.
