How do you put 40 years in a short note? After MCC I went to work in a lawyers office, then got married - lived in Willington & Ashford total of 14 years raising four sons. Worked UConn 4 years then moved (alone) with the boys to Willimantic and worked in a law office - took off to NH where my sister lived thinking it would be greener.....Well, my boys were all teenagers at the time and WOW quite an experience and I am still living - thanks be to God. When I moved to NH it was 1990 - no work and I had a blast driving a country taxi. Not city driving - just country and students. Fun and met lots of people that way. Finally got a full time job in a natural cosmetics Co in New London - nice experience but then left after 7 years and worked at the Newport High School in special ed. Like Kathy M. said - it's an experience that is so rewarding and memorable. I would do it again but after seven years there - the last student liked to run away and I was forever a chaser, decided to use my mind again (what was left of it) and now working in a law office...learning a lot.
