Deborah's Story
Hi all, Incase you don't already know, I moved to Oregon Nov. 2007 from San Diego, CA along with my hubby, Larry, and our three kitties; we have unfortunately lost 2 cats within 2 years, and we now just have our little one eyed ferral kitty, Winkie. Sadly, we lost Winkie in 2019, but adopted Erica and Clair...two very sweet kitties. Our son Peter, got divorced in 2018, from Tracey. Granddaughter Ava, will turn 15 on Jan. 30, 2021, grandson Holden, will be 11 on Feb. 17, 2021, and grandson Sawyer is 8 1/2, and they all live in Portland, OR, which is about an hour away from us.
We put our San Diego house on the market in 2007, and we were very lucky in that housing market to sell within one month. We located an area in OR and decided to build a new house. We live in Forest Grove, OR. West of Portland about 20 miles, and about an hour and 1/2 to the gorgeous Oregon Coast. It's been a dream to see our precious grand-children, whenever we want to to. I often think about all of my Overbrook dear friends and all the fun times we had. I am a retired member of my community and city council...as I was a board member on a Committee for Citizen Involvement (secretary position), and a neighborhood liaison....I was never very political....but hey, this is my new home, so when in Rome...or should I say, so when in Forest Grove??!!
