Deborah's Story
My favorite personal quote "we may have to age, but we don't have to act old"
Wow, time does fly. Where to start. Still living in Grand Junction - haven't yet figured out how an alpine rose got stuck in the desert. My boys, Jonathan and Jacob, are grown and on their own. Jonathan is now an Attorney and Jacob is working on a Construction Management Degree. No grandbabies, yet. Of a sad note - I divorced after 25 years of marriage, however, I am making lemonade out lemons.
Just enjoying a new freedom and traveling whenever I can. My favorite place is in the San Juan's - Ridgeway , Ouray, Telluride. In Ridgeway there is a hot spring and spa - clothing optional (LOL). One trip and I instantly became a "rocky mountain mermaid". I am still working as District Manager for the OM San. District - July 3, 2009, will be 31 years. It is a great source of satisfaction and keeps me in and out of trouble. I dabble in politics and I am a member of the Pro-2nd movements.
Of a funny note, about the divorce, I am living in the old house that I went to high school in. It is the fourth time I have move into to the place since I was 15. Guess I am not suppose...Expand for more
to get rid of her. I am remodeling and boy is it slow.
My new found freedom is allowing me to give vent to my creative side - quilting, painting and all types of needlework. Also, following one of my passion's - ballroom dancing - well, dancing period. I now have a new horse in my life - Shavano. Joined the Sherrif's Posse - so I can train in the arena. Also joined the Grand Mesa Jeep Club - so I can go run the mountains.
I have four dogs - an australian shepherd (a little neurotic), an australian/lab mix (smart and gentlemanly) and two doxies (they own me). I now have a third doxie ( I couldn't help myself and he needed saved).
I am learning how to spin wool and other fibers and hand dying them. So much fun.
Looks like I am going to do the internet dating thing - LOL. I'm In Colorado and he is in London, UK. Being very, very.... cautious.
Looking for new adventures as always.
