Deborah's Story

OK...HERE'S MY STORY AS OF TODAY! (August 2011) I've lived in Florida since 1988. I've been single since about 1990. Made some bad life choices, and some good ones. As with most of us - my Best choices have been my GREAT kids. My son, Kevin is a great guy and hard worker..he is over 30 now (Holy Crow!) and has my first Grandbaby - now almost 5 years old Illana. ... and have had my 2nd grandbaby - named Matthew (after their grand daddy) My middle daughter, Brandy is also 30 years old. BOY IT MAKES ME OLD! She graduated from Emory Univeristy with her MD degree....she finished her MD residency....had my THIRD grandbaby (named: Clyde Dana Thomas V...omg....we call him QUINN !) and their family has decided to stay on the West Coast - moving to Olympia to take her first official JOB ! My "baby" Trisha is 27, and still at St. George's University - working on being a Vetrinarian...NO grandbabies expected there any time soon! BUT she does have the GREATEST grand DOG that anyone has ever had ! (his name is Ziggy) ME - getting closer to 60 than I can stand to think about I had quit my CRAZY BUSY job to take ano...Expand for more
ther less stressful one...BUT in the mean time my mother had 2 severe strokes. I worked during the day and took care of her all night for about 8 months... She finally did die in January (the 5th, 2011) and I feel totally different than I ever did in my life. I've had so much loss and stress in the past - but NOTHING compares to loosing your Mom. I am AGAIN feeling like life is passing me by....time is SO SHORT. I went PART TIME now with the job I have - I have to take time to straighten out all this STUFF I have accumulated in life - her house and THINGS and all.........so I am taking a little break to deal with that. I AM ALSO GOING TO DO SOME TRAVELLING WHILE I CAN.... I went to visit Brandy and family in Seattle. I went to NJ to visit family and bury Mom's ashes and I am going to go on CRUISE with my cousin and her hubby - VENICE, GREECE, CROATIA, TURKEY ! I can't wait. and who knows....maybe I'll come home....maybe NOT ! Unfortunately the timing was off - to make the impromptu class reunion - picnic this year. PLEASE KEEP ME IN THE LOOP - for when the next get together is. I would love to see some of you!
