Life I've been married since 1976 to a man 9 1/2 years older than me. I think it is funny when I think about him graduating from college about the time I'm going into the 9th grade in Junior High (Bonham). I met my husband David in Los Angeles on his birthday - Oct 31, 1973. I had was living in Orange County, CA at the time. I move to CA in the spring of '73 to lived with my dad who I just met for the first time on the night of my High School graduation. Weird, huh? At the time I moved to CA my dad was going through a divorce and he was ready to leave the state if I didn't come out there soon at that time. I had one month to finish my first year at Odessa College, but it was a decision somewhat difficult to make. I had a Permian classmate who was to travel with me, but backed out at the last minute. Anyway, my life goal is to "always move forward once a decision has been made". I tried not to look back toward Odessa when I was driving out of town, but I did. I do have fond memories of Odessa and the life I had there, but honestly I don't have any real connections to the town. I do go back to see my mom and my High School drama teacher, Bodine Johnson. She was the teacher who most inspired me. Where I am today I've lived in Tampa, FL since 1989. We've had four children - one from the 70's, two from the 80's and one from the 90's. My oldest daughter is married to a Corporate Executive Pastry Chef at Sales Force in San Francisco, and she is a wonderful graphic designer with her own business. She and her husband have two little boys, Charlie and Holden. My oldest son is living here in FL and helping to run the operations of our family collectibles business, DTA Collectibles. He is married and has a little boy. That makes 3 grandsons for me!! My youngest daughter is employed at Warner Bros in Los Angeles and works as an video editor for the TV show Conan (O'Brien).
