Life
I moved away from Charleston,SC in July 1978. My family moved to St. Charles, MO... where I joined the US Navy in OCT 1979, as an Air Traffic Controller. I was stationed at NAS Mirimar (San Diego,CA), NAS Bermuda, and NAS Oceana (Virginia Beach,VA). I joined the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller in SEPT 1989. I have worked in Jacksonville,FL (ARTCC)...Expand for more
, Gulfport,MS, Charleston,SC and Columbia,SC as an Air Traffic Control Tower/Approach Controller. I retired from the FAA in SEPT 2016. I moved back to the Charleston area in AUG 2017 to be near my only son who has purchased a home in Charleston. I am divorced, and work part time as a Contract Weather Observer at the Charleston, SC airport every weekend.
