Deborah's Story
Hi. Okay I will.
I graduated from school and went on to Marymount. Dropped out when I met my husband and moved to Oakland where he was from. Lived in Berkeley (just missed the hippies and Hughey Newton!); had two cute kids. Left Oakland (and husband). Returned to LA and lived in Inglewood right across from Centinela Park for about 9 years. Worked for my lawyer sister as secretary for a while and then on to another legal position in CenturyCity. Went shopping on my lunchbreak every payday. I was in heaven. After my mom died, moved to San Fernando Valley in 1984. It snowed about a month later! Had lots of fun, started roller skating for a while and visited different rinks throughout LA, Cerri...Expand for more
tos, Iriwindale. Loved World on Wheels. In 2000 moved to Pasadena and moved to one of those huge new homes Valencia after 9/11:(. Finally moved back to the San Fernando Valley in 2010. Had two more babies and now have grandkids ages 15, 14, 10 and 8 months. I am still a legal secretary and have been with the Federal Government almost 7 years. Pay is not like private, but the benefits are great. My superiors are the bomb. I am blessed. The farthest I have travelled is to the islands on a basketball cruise. I LOVE THE LAKERS and if you don't--keep it to yourself, unless you want to spend the entire time at the 40th reunion arguing with me. LOL. Whew. I'm tired. Bye ya'll, holler back, now.
