Deborah's Story
Life
I am living in Durham, North Carolina and I am separated. This summer, I have been studying at Oxford University! I go back to Florida on August 6th, then to Durham to go back to work.
I have three children and four grandchildren. My kids were born in 1973, 1980, and 1982, so they are all adults now. I am pretty sure there will be more of them in the future!
College
I went to St. Pete Junior College, then Tallahassee Community College. After I got my A.A., I transferred to Florida State University. I...Expand for more
graduated from there in 1995 (yes, I know ... late in life!) Currently enrolled in the Bread Loaf School of English through Middlebury College.
Workplace
I am an English teacher. I currently teach Creative Writing I and II, and 9th and 10th grade English in Durham. I worked at Largo Middle School for eight years and taught 8th grade English, Journalism, and drama. I also taught at Dunedin High School and Adult Education at Clearwater High School. I taught English in Japan during the 2002-2003 school year!
