Life I joined the Army when I graduated in 1979 because I knew my mom didn't have money to send me to collage. I was in the first group that they let women in the Artillery Division. I wasen't trying to be first, I just liked the job I went into. I sent up weather balloons. It was fun except for when it was 10 below outside. Also, I was realy shy in school around guys and I didn't stop to think that the Army would be mostly guys. I realy got nervous when I herd more than one person say that "the judge said it was eather jail or the Army". I went to Fort Sill, Ok for Basic Training and then I was sent to Fort Carson, Colorado. I stayed there until I got out of the Army and I still live in Colorado. My mother and sister moved here but most of my family still live in Missouri so we go back to visit almost every summer.
